"The Possession" by Michael Rutger is a thriller, mixed with horror elements. It follows a small mysterious town with many dark secrets, like many Lovecraftian stories that have come before. Our main character, Nolan, and his film crew begin a trip in the small town to investigate a mysterious wall fixture, that many believe to be haunted. Fun and thrilling, this reminds me of a ghost adventures / investigation television program.
I found many of the characters to be entertaining, but we become stuck on Kristy, Nolan's ex-girlfriend. We become instantly suspicious that perhaps she might be behind the haunts, looking for fame and fortune.
All in all, this was a pretty fun read. I recommend it.
