The Possession is not at all the type of book I usually choose to read but I found the first chapters caught my interest. There's a lot happening in the story with the mystery of the stone walls, the missing girl and witchcraft. It was quite heavy going in parts with long descriptions of the walls etc. but there is plenty of action and suspense from the very beginning when Kristy arrives in the town. The ending is quite scary, lots of mist, strange creatures, and out of body experiences for the characters. But at the end the reader does find out reasons for much of what has happened in the town. and more about the lives of the characters. It also indicates that there will be a third book in the series.
