I have often wondered what things would be like if the world was completely controlled by women. The Quickening seems to give a unique insight into this idea. The biggest thing that jumped out at me whilst I was reading the first impression was the use of multiple points of view. I absolutely love books that give multiple perspectives because it adds so much depth. I particularly love it when they make it clear what perspective is being used, so I was really excited to see the character names at the start of each chapter! I’ve been left wanting to know what happens to Arthur, Victoria and Dana. I loved the inclusion of sections of the manifesto too and want to explore this world more.
