I am so intrigued by this! The opening scenes of a pre-Quickening Oxford (which incidentally is my home city so I already wanted to read on at the mention of the Cowley Road) set the tone that this novel is going to be a slightly unsettling one.
Rather like Attwood's Handsmaid's Tale this is destined to be a comment on society and human behaviour, but a flip with women in power and men with fewer freedoms. I can't wait to read more.
