Seeing this cover on a shelf, I would almost certainly pick it up. But after finishing this excerpt, I don't quite know how to feel.
I started off enjoying the story, it has a decent premise and an intriguing possible plotline, but somewhere along the way it just kind of fell off.
This is likely a book I would enjoy reading the first time; but would donate it to a friend / charity shop, rather than keeping it for a reread.
