We meet Arthur and Dana in Oxford in 2015, Dana tries to explain the Quickening to Arthur who immediately falls for her. In the future he imagines having killed her back when he could and whether it would have stopped the Change. In 2043 we meet Victoria Bain Minister of Culture and Media as she gives a pep talk to the hetrosexual working men, living in camps and shifted about the country. She reflects back to when she was a pop star and raped and beaten up by her manager boyfriend Geoff. The world has changed dramatically but is it a better place?
