I think if I saw the cover in a shop it would immediately catch my attention because of the sharp comtrast between the pink and black. The contrast between the characters of Arthur and Victoria was striking and caught me slightly off guard but got me immediately hooked. The two chapters given made me immediately want to know more and left me with many questions - what is the Quickening, how are the two stories related, why does Arthur want to kill Dana?
