I adored this book! This would be absolutely perfect for anyone who loved The Handmaid’s Tale, Vox, The Power or probably Dystopian fiction more generally too!
This reads like an inverted Handmaid’s Tale set in near future London, there are certainly lots of parallels.
It’s definitely a quick read too, I got really into it and got through it in two days!
I found that the chapters narrated by Art, a gentleman kept at home by his wife, and Vicky were interesting but I would have loved to have got Dana’s point of view. I can see why not giving us her point of view kept the mystery around her but she is such a fascinating character I think it would have been really interesting.
The ending could have gone a little further for me - I think Dana and Arthur were the most interesting dynamic so seeing a little more of his reaction or their future would have been super interesting.
I’ve also had loads of compliments on the cover, I absolutely love it!
