I was really looking for ward to giving this book a read but unfortunately it fell flat for me.

I love a good dystopian book where we have people coming together to fight a common enemy but in this story I didn't feel we quite got that at all.

So this is the story of Dana Mayer had a vision of a better world: one where women are in charge. Now her manifesto, The Quickening, has established the rules for a new order, designed to elevate and protect women. Now for this to work women must take over control from men and they must become second class citizens

Arthur met Dana back when they were both in college and he loves her above all else. but he does not love the new world that she has created and so he wants to rebel against it but doesn't want to lose Dana in doing so.

I found the writing style and pov to be a little odd in this book as were told the story from Arthur and Victoria (she is a close ally of Dana) and would have preffered to have heard Dana's thoughts on everything that went on.

Not my favourite but still worth a read and I'm glad to have done so!
