When I first read the description of this book I thought that it was going to be some sort of Science Fiction story set on another planet. So you can imagine just how surprised I was to find out that it is actually set in London in the UK. The only thing Science Fiction about it is that most of the story takes place in the future.
The main characters are a woman named Dana, who starts out as a student with some very strange ideas about how the world should be run, and the people closest to her. Several years into the future Dana has become Prime Minister in the UK and has the opportunity to put her ideas into action.
This has happened because for several years the world has had many problems like a deadly virus, global economies failing and then a massive world war. The majority of men have died leaving woman in charge. Dana has now changed the world into a place that favours women and things have to be done her way.
But are all the citizens happy with this , or would some prefer to go back to the old ways?
