Ella is a wonderful happy go lucky character, I was so lost in her personality that it was easy to forget this young girl is not living but surviving in Auschwitz. I love Ella's daydreaming and flashbacks to life with her grandmother. I can't wait to see how her friendship with Rose develops. Beautifully written! Love it!
