An opportunity has arisen for one seamstress to work in the sewing room in the Birchwood Concentration camp. Ella is too young for the position. She is challenged to make a dress from scratch in just a few hours. Although she can barely concentrate because of her hunger and tiredness, she designs, cuts and sews a beautiful green silk dress while dreaming of her former life at home with her grandmother and the wonderful food they used to eat.
