This is not the type of book I would usually go for but there's something intriguing about both the cover and the blurb that really draws you in. The opening pages are similarly engaging and despite some qualms over the setting and subject it's definitely a story I want to read more of.
There's something instantly likeable about main character Ella and the conflict within her between doing what's right and what she need to to survive makes her fascinating to read. I loved the little flashbacks to her life before and am already keen to what has happened and what will happen.
I suspect this will be a heartbreaking story but it's definitely one I want to read.
