I loved this book so much. It tells the story of Ella, a dressmaker, trying to survive "Birchwood", but is so much more. It tells the story of hope and finding it even in the darkest places. I loved Ella, Rose, Marta, Carla, all of the characters. I loved how even though Rose was gone, Ella stayed hopeful and they found each other in the end.

Even the end, Ella's gratitude paid off, and she met Flora; the woman who undoubtedly saved her life. The red ribbon was a sign of hope, and that's what this book is. A sign of hope. It's a message to anybody struggling with anything that you will be free, it just takes time. Sometimes, you need to make your own Liberation Dress and free yourself. 5/5.
