Since a small child all Ella wanted to do was make dresses and now her survival is dependent on working, sewing dresses for her captors. Lush green velvet and vibrant yellow daisies made into dresses for the women who keep her captive. Can this feisty fox save herself with the making of her very own Liberation dress?

Aimed at young teens this story of a young girls harrowing experience is lightened by the animal characters, the themes of colour and endless dreams of hope and freedom.

As a story of hope and friendship in the places you least expect it, Ella is dragged away to a 'death factory' where she meets various characters whom she has to decide whether they are friend or foe. Where the frog, bear and her little squirrel friend fight for survival everyday.

A 'nice' tale about Auschwitz, an oxymoron i know but, it is how I felt after finishing this book.
