I was thoroughly surprised by this book, I really really enjoyed! I can honestly say it is very different to any book I have read before. It was a very interesting way to start the book, Ella running into the sewing room asking for a job. I felt very sympathetic of all the characters, especially Ella and Rosie, who's relationship was very heartwarming. The issues this book raises including war, torture, death and slavery are bought up in a very clever and almost childish way.
The format of this book is great, the cover, size and font of words and the detaling of ribbons, pins and scizzors on the papers are beautiful.
I give this book a five stars, and would recommend it to my friends and family.
