I cannot imagine never being able to see or read these wonderful books - but from the cover of the book the character in question has haad this problem for a while until she is convinced to have an operation to restore her sight. It must be really confusing and scary to have no sight and then the next be able to see for the first time. Imagine all the things you do not know - a different world !
