I have to admit to finding the concept at the centre of this story very intriguing. What would it be like after being blind your whole life to suddenly be able to see? How terrifying would it be to experience it for the very first time. It definitely sounds like it will make for a one of a kind read. Based on the initial extract I am liking the author's writing style. He effectively portrays what it's like to be blind and I very much liked main character Nova. She seems like a strong and independent woman who knows her own mind but is still that little bit quirky. I'm a little less sure of Kate but it's early days and I suspect there's something that will surprise me in her story too. I think I'll need to get my hands on this book.
