I want to read this! It is fascinating to get an insight (no pun intended) into the life of somebody different to you - in this case an independant blind girl. It is great to try to understand the world from her perspective. The main character is also quite likeable. It will be interesting to see how her life interacts with the other main character, who at the beginning seems to have no connection to her.
