I had such high hopes for this book for a couple of different reasons:
First of all, I had read the First Impression and I really liked it just from that small sample. It seemed like a book I could really get into and I was very keen to read more of it.
Secondly, I had heard some great things about it before I had event seen it come up on the Readers First website. So many people had told me that it was going to be the "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine" of 2019, and although I have not read Eleanor Oliphant, I have heard amazing things about that book too. So I was expecting a lot from this book.
I am very pleased to say that it did not disappoint. It was a touching story that was written so beautifully. I fell in love with the writing style more and more as I read it, finding it hard to put down. I have since passed the book on to a friend and will be recommending it to others in the future. I am so glad that I read this.
