This book was a real book of emotions. Both Nova and Kate are struggling with life in different ways. Nova has been blind from birth but undergoes an operation that will restore her sight. Kate is in an abusive relationship with her husband that she can't seem to escape.
They both meet and form a friendship with ups and downs. They both struggle with their lives and how to deal with life. They become more than friends but are haunted by Kate's past and Nova's future. Everytime things seem positive, something gets in the way and puts them back to square one.
This book really stirred my emotions as it had happy moments and sad moments and I really wanted Kate and Nova's relationship to work.
