I thoroughly enjoyed this novel; the storyline was unique and unlike any book I've read before. It opened up a whole new world to me.
The two main protagonists, Nova & Kate, were both well developed characters and I felt by the end of the story I really understood and empathised with them both. I loved how their stories entwined and how authentically their romance unfolded.
I particularly appreciated the layout of the book and how the prose included visual shapes using the text itself. The actual rules of seeing Nova writes really aided me in imagining how it would feel to see for the first time after life with visual impairments. The rules were a valuable addition to the prose and helped the story flow.I was not expecting the thriller element of the storyline and Kate's character took a route I was not expecting which added some extra intrigue.
On the whole I found this book really enjoyable and engaging and I would definitely recommend it.
