I very much enjoyed reading this book. It's really character driven, and the main protagonist, Nova, is warm and lovable, which really helps the reader to embrace the story. I found the idea of learning how to see as comparable to learning a new language genuinely thought provoking and the issues surrounding this seemed sensitively handled and well thought through.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending, it felt a little rushed and also more far fetched with the rest of story, which didn't quite "fit" for me. It had higher drama than was necessary in my opinion just for the last section, which detracted from the relationship-driven focus of the rest of the book.
