I really invested in Nova and Kate initially and was intrigued as to how their worlds would collide.
As the book went on I’m sad to say that’s Nova began to annoy and irritate me; like letting her sight lapse but the reasons being skimmed over by the author, it felt rushed. In contrast, I was with Kate until the end and wanted her story to go where it eventually did.
A good read but not a great one. That said the premises of the story was interesting, it just felt like some sections went on for longer than needed and others were rushed. A shame as I felt the plot had real promise when I initially reviewed the first few pages / chapters. Sadly the whole book did not live up to that. That said, I’m glad I read it to test this author’s work.
