The Rules Of Seeing is a moving book from the perspectives of two women who find each other through different circumstances. Kate suffers domestic abuse at the hands of her husband and Nova has an operation to be enable her to no longer be blind.
I loved the characters in this book and the way in which they meet, develop and each see the world differently for the first time. From starting to be a romance book and ending on a thriller was not something I expected but kept me turning the pages, eager to find out what happens.
I felt a little disappointed however with the ending. We don't seem to find out what happens to Tony and the relationship status between Nova and Kate is somehow left unrefined and as a cliffhanger.
I loved how this book was written though, with each chapter focusing on something and the picture being shown above the chapter.
Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend this to anyone. Well written Joe Heap and will look forward to more of your work.
