I thought this book was just about a blindness, but it is so much more. There's gay relationships, explorations of what constitutes abuse, a fiercely shocking twist, but despite all this, a genuinely uplifting message at the end of the novel.
This is not a book I picked up by myself, it was gifted to me and wow, I was so surprised. Theres a lot more to the characters than meets the eye, and even months after reading it, I can still vividly remember the places and people mentioned in the novel.
It's definitely a more than one time read, a book that I will go back to every once in a while and certainly one I'd recommend to people who are struggling in a relationship, or who have struggled and are keen to feel not alone!
