This story has clearly had a lot of careful research put into it to make sure it is as accurate as possible and reflects what it is truly like to learn to see. The characters are well developed from start to finish and I felt that the story is unique in the field of romance writing. I personally like the author's writing style and could happily read more from her. The storyline does drag a little towards the end which unfortunately made this only a three star read for me. I know some people (Amazon?) are suggesting that this is for fans of Eleanor Oliphant, however, I don't think the books are similar at all and I am not sure that all Eleanor Oliphant fans would enjoy this book as much as Eleanor Oliphant.
