When I read the synopsis of this one, I thought it would be just my cup of tea and envisaged loving it. However, I'm sad to say that it just fell a little flat for me....
I thought the premise was an excellent one, and found both Kate's and Nova's storylines really interesting and full of promise. I just didn't feel like I particularly gelled with either of them. They were fully drawn out, so this isn't a criticism of the writing, I just didn't feel like there was anything to draw me to them. I found myself willing the storyline along, and I usually don't mind a slow paced book.
Having said that, the writing is great, and I'll be looking out for other books by the author.
