Different. This book shows the promise of an interesting plot line. I really found myself inside the heads of both women. I thought Nova was quite lucky to have the family support that Kate craved.
I found Nova's view of her world like a breath of fresh air. I felt that the operation may be wrong for Nova, as she seemed to lead a fulfilled life already. Sometimes it is better to leave things as they are.
Kate seemed to be bullied by her partner. This has led to her low self esteem and her inability to escape the situation. Kate felt intimidated and pushed into a corner. Her partner wanted to have control over her life and socially isolate her.
I am interested to know how this book will progress and how it will bring our two female characters together.
