Proof you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover

I loved the extract of this book, far more than I thought I would from the cover. I think it helps that it was about mods and there was a lot of reference to amazing music from the sixties. Although it was a shame that no one has mentioned the Small Faces yet, who are my absolute favourites.

It also helps that one of the main chracters is called Linda, which is my mum's name so I can imagine her as one of the main characters.

The front cover was terrible. It made the novel look like something like 'call the midwife'. It didn't do the book justice at all. It could have done with her wearing a better mod-style outfit and some kind of symbolism. I would have been very unlikely to pick the book up because of it.

However, the writing itself was really involving. it was interesting. I liked the characters. I like the music themes that will run through the book. I think I would really enjoy this book.
