I like period dramas and this book got me interested. I liked it that the 2 central characters are young girls. I liked that it is set in Essex and live in Essex so I can picture the places they mention in the book. I am old enough to remember the time of the mods and the rockers and so I can relate to the period of time the book is set in. It starts off well and gets your interest to find out about what these 2 girls get up to in the book and their love lives.
The book is written in a way that it's easy to read and easy to digest the information you are given about the characters. it is quite descriptive so I could imagine the characters in my mind what they looked like and the types of characters they are.
