Draws me to read it as I too was a Saturday girl just slightly before the timeline of this book. Probably should be termed as the age of enlightening. The thrill of earning your own money and branching out into the world of Dating is all time consuming for the two girls. This leads to over eagerness and wrong choices being made in boyfriend selection. Unfortunately this misquided choice often leads to not only unforeseen trouble for Sandra but also her friend and probably for others within her family and friends within her circle. I as a reader would be drawn in to see how it all effects their lives and the resulting outcome. My Saturday jobs was less eventful for which I feel eternally grateful.
