The Secret Letters starts in Cornwall, 1992 - two reasons this already drew me in: I love Cornwall and I was born in 1992.
In my opinion, the beginning was quite slow, there are too many descriptions so it took me a while to sink in the story. I could see there was something happening in the background, but the descriptive side took over the story itself.
Said so, once I passed the first few pages, I could not take my eyes away from the book and was gutted when the preview finished. At that point I wanted to know more.
Rose finds some letters one day, letters that belonged to a former lover, left behind in Prague during the second World War. Now, 3 years after the fall of the Berlin wall, Rose is free to go back to the city where it all began and discover the truth of what happened to Kristof.
I think this will be a very emotional read and I will definitely put this book on my TBR list.
