Instantly the reader is hooked, I mean running round in a wedding dress with lipstick on your face is not usually normal, but I guess in New York anything goes. The writing is fast paced and it builds suspense really well. However the sixteen year old protagonist is not likable and sounds like a spoilt brat, just because her parents are divorced and she had to move. This tarnishes the books first impressions for me, I don't know whether I would like to read on.
