I'll confess YA is not a genre I often read however there's no doubt the author has created a dramatic start to the book. That opening sentence is great because it provokes so many questions in the reader's mind. Why is Becky running, why is she in fear of her life, why is she wearing a bridal gown, why is it torn and why does the Central Park she's running through have such a dystopian feel?

The first chapter introduces other intriguing mysteries as well, such as the mention of the missing girls. I liked Skye's thought that it's always new girls that go missing and now she's a new girl. Chilling.
