This is clearly one of the 'Marmite' books - you'll either love the fast-paced, New York-based, action-packed, kooky end-of-the-world, college-set scenario ... or (like me) you'll just want to put on a box set of 'Pride and Prejudice'. So, I won't be persevering to struggle to find out what's going on, but loads of people will, and will really enjoy it.
