Having read the first impression, I think that the book has some good elements: the well-described nastiness at school, the intriguing starter (Becky's death) and of course the end-of-the-world scenario. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. My only negative thoughts are about the narration style, which is just a bit too teenager-y for me. I'd probably read on but I'm not hooked.
