Did you like Film The Hunger Games? if so then read this or wait for a film of similar value.

It’s about some teenagers, the first one is dead, the second and third are twins. The brother is confident and charismatic, the sister is shy and introvert. It’s the proposed weaker sister that we follow in the plot. Why not the “stronger” brother?

I was disappointed in the heavy reliance upon stereotypes in character development. Considering the authors experience I expected more. The plot is not much better, the summary mentions a time hole with a secret running society who use this time warp. Maybe they use it to run against theirselves continuously as they only perceive the self as the true competitor in life, if that is the case then add a star, brilliant.

Alas, it will probably be about the impending apocalypse. Some kind of space gamma cloud of undefined electronvolts, from some conveniently unknown source. Probably a hell of a chain of supernovas. The author has clearly just thrown it in as something that can wipe out the annoying Homosapiens in this novel, which will allow him to focus on something better. There is a lack of research, which can be forgiven. But the thing is, I want the cloud of destruction to come quickly and finish these set of terrible teens who are obsessed with self image. Its like every poor North American teen horror story.

Also, I was disappointed by the lack of running on the cover.

Overall it undervalues the competence of teenagers literary skill, is unoriginal and encourages social stigma.
