First thing first - this sounds absolutely amazing! I am not kidding you. That opening chapter sold the book to me in a heartbeat. The fear, the hunt and a need to know more.
For the first few chapters the book is an easy read and fits in perfectly within the young adult genre. It also doesn't give a lot away at the start, leaving you begging for answers the moment you begin; and I love that about a book. The writing style is easy to read and definitely catchy.
The cover artwork is sleek and grungy, just what you would expect from a New York oncoming apocalypse feel. It also feels very much like street art and downtown New York; in a good way. I would definitely pick this book up from one look alone.
