I really enjoyed this book, it was a solid read. I admit I did find it slow in the beginning as it is set at a school and just goes over school life but the second half of the book was amazing! I loved the future New York and found it atmospheric and creepy. The future New York and the concept that only certain people survived was amazing and I liked it. There was a few things I didn’t really like for example the bullying at school. The characters I didn’t really connect with but there were a couple that I enjoyed for example Oz was a favourite of mine. I loved the references to Stephen King and the other references. I loved the friendship between Skye and Jenny. Overall it was a good read but I would have preferred the first half to be better.
