As an avid reader of thrillers and young adult novels, I can say when I heard about this book I was beyond excited.
However, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. First of all, the plot was brilliant and original, but in the case of character development I personally felt it was quite cliche to the point I almost put the book down.
If you can get past the cliches, the poor character development and the ableism, homophobia and racism? I guess it could be a great read.
What makes me upset is that this novel had such potential. Not to mention the writing style was very good too, which made all the bad points even worse because there is nothing I love better than an addictive writing style and killer plot!
