As a new reader to Matthew Reilly this was a real action packed adventure styled book definetely suitable as a young adult read.
The secret runners of new York is a inituative gripping book which is so different to many available genres at the moment. With it being written at a fast pace it keeps the reader engaged and questioning the story and angles along the way. Definetely a book you do not want to put down.
I loved the way the relationships between characters were portrayed with a mix of fighting and romance thrown In. What more could you want.
With the variety of plots and twists within this story it could easily be turned into a series to see how the developing work of New York seems to exist in comparison time or by looking deeper into the various character personas within and exploring their stories.
