Having never read a book by Matthew Reilly I went into this completely blind but I was very pleasantly surprised!
Matthew has a way with words that draw you in from the very beginning and what sounds, from the start, like a drama of the rich kids of New York, turns into something much darker and more frightening.
Skye (Blue) as a character was very likeable and you route for her from page one, as you do with her brother Red.
Not only do we get teenage rich kid drama, we get mystery, time travel and a whole lot of mayhem that leaves you in anticipation of what might happen next and who’s going to be lurking somewhere unseen.
There’s also plenty of action!
This story is just gripping and I really enjoyed it.
