I was really excited about this book, possibly for the mainly selfish reasons of hoping to move to New York myself in a year or two. I loved the insight into New York as a place, which is explored when Skye and her brother Red move there from Tennessee.
Combine the fact that it's set in a place I love with the fact that it follows the story of New York's elite, meaning a lot of rich kid drama, with a YA background, this book definitely ticked all the boxes for me. It wasn't a fact-paced or particularly action-packed book, but the mystery and intrigue involved more than makes up for it. On top of that, the idea for the story is totally unique and I can see it appealing to many different readers!
