Really loved this, something different.

From the first read of this book it had me gripped, I went off reading young adult books so this was the first one I've read for a number of years. And I can say I will be looking for more books like this within the future!
It shows the clear difference of wealth within New York and how when he world comes to an end, money can't save you. It is clear how falling into the wrong crowd caused trouble for Skye, not only for her social reputation but also her life. The 'mean girls' group who are all snobby and more concerned about their social appearance and getting their own way, compared to Skye and her brother Red who are ultimately rich, but grounded. Ultimately, saving their life when the end of the world approaches!
I would recommend this read, also was a big fan of the front cover.
