The Secret Runners of New York was a very interesting read and spot on with his previous works. I think the first-person narrative was a nice break from his usual writing style and the adventure aspect kept the pace nicely. The idea that the world will be thrown into chaos via a gamma radiation was a different take on the apocalyptic response to modern consternation and angst. I like how he left open other possibilities for sequels. (Which I will not spoil for the reader here.)

Some parts were a bit predictable and easily anticipated, but I like his Matthew Reilly's works. I've read everything he has written either fully or partially, but definitely all of his Jack West- and Scarecrow-related novels.
