I've been waiting for a new book from Claudia Carroll and 'The Secrets of Primrose Square' seems to be a little different from her previous novels I've read.
Firstly, the cover is beautiful. I love the creamy background with the simple street design with that wonderful splash of colour. Definitely looks a little more grown up than some of her previous covers but no less enticing to pick up and read.
The actual content of the book is the same easily readable way that Carroll writes, however, again the story seems more mysterious and I just love how, as a reader, we're following several people whose lives all link together. It's a lovely way to get a really personal connection with several characters and I cannot wait to read more of it. I think it's wonderful so far, definitely more substance than a normal holiday read but not too heavy. I'm just so glad Carroll is back with a bang.
