We are introduced to several ladies during our first look at this book.
Susan, who stands outside an eighteen year old boy's home until the Police (Garda as it is set in Ireland) come and take her away.
Next we meet Melissa, home alone on a dark winter's night with no idea where her mother is.
Then we meet Jayne, the grandmother figure to Melissa who is a kindly old lady who is very worried that Melissa is out on her own, in the dark and wants to help her find her mother.
Lastly we meet Nancy and the reader has yet to find out how all these ladies lives are intertwined but I'm sure it will make great reading to find this out.
