There were a number of characters introduced in the first few chapters which can be a little confusing. However, they were all interesting, seemed to have a lot of depth and there was also an amount of mystery as to what has happened to some of the characters prior to the start of the story. It was not a fast-paced book, but the more leisurely speed of the plot fitted in better with the feel of the area where most of the characters lived. I am also looking forward to understanding how Nancy fits in with the residents of Primrose Square that we met previously.
