First things first I really like the cover, not sure whether its me but I associate each house to a character and as your reading it you can see it play out in your head.
The writing seems fantastic, and I am intrigued to see whether the mother gets closer over her sons death, where is the girls mom and why can't she reach her, what is the bombshell and how is her life going to change and what are the mysterious things that do not add up.
I am looking forward to finding out whether the characters are linked in some way instead of just living in the same square.
